What If . . .
1) What if the binoculars hadn't been lost? Would the lookouts have spotted the iceberg any sooner?
2) What if the captain of the Californian had not ignored the distress rockets? Would they have saved all of the lives of people aboard the Titanic?
3) What if Titanic had had enough lifeboats? Would everyone have been saved?
4) What if the wireless operator on the Californian hadn't fallen asleep? Would he have alerted the Captain and would they have gone and helped the Titanic?
5) What if Ismay hadn't put pressure on Captain Smith? Would the ship have been going as fast as it did?
6) What if the telegrams regarding the icebergs had been taken more seriously? Would Titanic have gone slower and been able to avoid the iceberg?
7) What if the officers had been less ignorant of the real danger they were in? Would the lifeboats have been filled with more people?
8) What if the Third-class passengers hadn't locked in below deck? Would more of them have survived in the freezing cold water?
9) What if the Titanic had left a day earlier or later? Would the ship have been free of danger? And if not, would they have encoutered some worse fate?
10) What if people hadn't been so sure that the ship couldn't sink and was above all other things, whether in nature, or made by human? Did their confidence have any dealings in the Titanic's fate?
