Mentor supervision ensured that the team structure did not break down. Suggestions and assistance provided by the mentors allowed for the team to expand its knowledge and understanding of the topic and engineering process. Below is a list of brief biographies of our mentors.

Mrs. Hepsy Singh – Mrs. Singh, who taught Physics at the University of Madras, has been the leader and mentor of the Robotics Club for seven years. She currently teaches Physics AP and Physics Honors at Saint Mary’s Hall and is our Faculty Sponsor.

Mrs. Norma Torres- Mrs. Torres, a graduate of Rice University and the University of Texas Law School, was our guide to writing and piecing together the robotics notebook.

Mr. Rudy Lopez – Mr. Lopez sells high plume exhaust fans, air valves, and electronic controls for use in critical room applications.  He earned his BSME at the University of Texas at San Antonio and spent a number of years as an HVAC consulting engineer.  His engineering interests include process cooling, laboratory and critical room airflow control, and control system stability.
Mrs. Sézanne Tener-Mrs. Tener is a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin Law School and is currently an AV rated lawyer who practices in the San Antonio area. Mrs. Tener was essential to the community outreach component of the competition.

Mr. Dan Staskawicz- Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Staskawicz is a local graduate from the University of Trinity and owner of Dovetail Construction. Although Mr. Staskawicz jokingly claims he cannot work a computer, his skills at construction proved valuable in constructing the robot and our mini-practice field.

Mr. Cobb- Mr. Cobb graduated from Harding University with a degree in Computer Engineering. Currently Mr. Cobb is a software developer for Valero Energy.
